This September, Cebollas Aparici completed a major project to renovate and upgrade its refrigeration equipment at its Almussafes plant, a initiative through which the company continues to make progress in improving its facilities, energy efficiency, and working conditions for its staff.
The project has significantly expanded the plant’s refrigeration capacity, enabling full climate control of the packaging area. This improvement is particularly important during the summer months, when high temperatures can affect both employee comfort and the conditions for storing and handling the product.
Thanks to the new cooling capacity, the packaging area now has more suitable and stable temperature conditions, helping to prevent heat stress among staff and maintain optimal conditions during the packaging process, even during the hottest periods of the year.
A step forward in energy efficiency
The equipment upgrade also represents a significant improvement from an energy efficiency standpoint. The new cooling system uses ammonia as a refrigerant, a technology widely used in industrial refrigeration systems due to its high efficiency.
The installation of this equipment allows for more efficient cooling, helping to reduce the energy consumption associated with the plant’s refrigeration and improve the overall performance of the facilities.
Technology at the service of people and the product
With this investment, Cebollas Aparici reinforces its commitment to the continuous improvement of its processes and facilities, addressing a twofold need: ensuring better conditions for the people who work at the plant and maintaining appropriate conditions for the product throughout the packaging process.
This project thus represents a new step forward in the plant’s modernization and in the search for solutions that enable Cebollas Aparici to meet the challenges of today’s food production with facilities that are more efficient, sustainable, and prepared for the future, thereby reinforcing its commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
