Packaging options and presentation:

Storage and preservation tips and recommendations:

To minimize losses and ensure freshness, it is crucial to follow good storage practices.

Ideal storage conditions:

• Temperature: Keep between 2°C and 8°C to prevent dehydration and mold. In hot climates, use refrigerated storage with humidity control.
• Relative Humidity: Between 65% and 75% to prevent condensation or dehydration.
• Ventilation: Store in ventilated boxes to avoid moisture buildup.
• Light Protection: Avoid direct exposure to prevent sprouting and preserve appearance.

Preservation:

• Proper Distribution: Keep onions well-ventilated and avoid excessive stacking.
• Regular Checks: Remove damaged onions to protect the rest of the stock.
• Suitable Packaging: Use ventilated packaging, preferably those from Cebollas Aparici, to promote transpiration and reduce moisture.

• Import months: January, february, march, april, october, november, and december.
• Months when the sweet onion is available: All year round.
• Harvest months in Spain: May, june, and july.

For bulk onions in sacks:

The minimum order will be one full pallet. Due to automatic palletizing, it is not possible to combine different sack references on the same pallet.

The only valid pallet will be the large pallet (100×120). Euro pallets (80×120) cannot be used as they are too unstable during transport.

For bulk onions in boxes, packed in nets and tubes:

The minimum order for boxes will be half a pallet. Two half pallets can be combined by stacking one on top of the other with an intermediate pallet, forming a single transport pallet.
