Packaging options and presentation:

• Sack: 5 kg.
• Cardboard Box: 6 kg.

To ensure that the shallot retains all of its properties, it is crucial to follow certain storage and preservation guidelines that guarantee its durability and quality.

Ideal storage conditions:

• Dry and well-ventilated environment: Since shallots have a lower water content than common onions, they should be stored in a space with controlled humidity and constant air circulation to prevent softening.
• Recommended temperature: For long-term preservation, it is ideal to store them between 0 and 5°C. However, they can be kept at room temperature in low-humidity environments.

Preservation:

• Avoid unnecessary refrigeration: Shallots are best stored at room temperature, unless prolonged storage is anticipated. In such cases, refrigeration can help extend their shelf life without affecting quality.
• Avoid direct exposure to light and heat: Intense light can affect their flavor and accelerate aging, so it is recommended to store them in cool, shaded places.

• Import months: All year round.
• Months when is available: All year round.
• Harvest months in Spain: August and september.

For bulk onions in sacks:

The minimum order will be one full pallet. Due to automatic palletizing, it is not possible to combine different sack references on the same pallet.

The only valid pallet will be the large pallet (100×120). Euro pallets (80×120) cannot be used as they are too unstable during transport.

For bulk onions in boxes, packed in nets and tubes:

The minimum order for boxes will be half a pallet. Two half pallets can be combined by stacking one on top of the other with an intermediate pallet, forming a single transport pallet.
