Early spring onion

Packaging options and presentation:

• Sack: 5 kg / 10 kg / 15 kg / 25 kg.
• Cardboard Box: 16 kg / 6 kg / 8 kg.
• Wooden Box: 10 kg.
• Twist Net WG: 1 kg / 1,50 kg / 2 kg.
• Twist Tube WG: 750g / 1 kg.
• Film Net DP: 1 kg / 1,50 kg / 2 kg.

Due to its high water content and thinner skin, new onions require specific care in storage and distribution to prevent losses.

Ideal storage conditions

• Temperature: Keep between 2°C and 6°C to prevent dehydration and extend freshness.
• Relative Humidity: Maintain between 70% and 80% to avoid drying out while preventing condensation.
• Ventilation: Ensure constant airflow, as excess moisture can lead to rot.
• Light Protection: New onions are more sensitive to light than other varieties, so they should be stored in dark or controlled-light environments.

Preservation

• Avoid mechanical damage: Their thin skin makes them more susceptible to bruising and pressure, so proper protective packaging is essential.
• Use breathable packaging: We recommend using Cebollas Aparici’s specially designed packaging, which helps preserve the product’s freshness.

• Import months: Not imported.
• Months when is available: December.
• Harvest months in Spain: May and june.

For bulk onions in sacks:

The minimum order will be one full pallet. Due to automatic palletizing, it is not possible to combine different sack references on the same pallet.

The only valid pallet will be the large pallet (100×120). Euro pallets (80×120) cannot be used as they are too unstable during transport.

For bulk onions in boxes, packed in nets and tubes:

The minimum order for boxes will be half a pallet. Two half pallets can be combined by stacking one on top of the other with an intermediate pallet, forming a single transport pallet.

We have two pallet sizes: the large pallet (100×120) and the euro size (80×120).
