Packaging options and presentation:

• Sack: 5 kg / 10 kg.
• Cardboard Box: 16 kg.

To ensure that the flat onion retains all of its properties, it is crucial to follow specific storage and preservation guidelines that ensure its durability and quality.

Ideal storage conditions:

• Dry and ventilated environment: The flat onion should be stored in spaces with controlled humidity and good air circulation to prevent moisture buildup and sprouting.
• Recommended temperature: Ideally, it should be kept between 0 and 5°C to extend its shelf life in long-term storage. However, for short periods, it can be stored at room temperature under optimal conditions.
• Separation from high moisture products: Avoid storing alongside potatoes or vegetables with high water content, as this could accelerate its deterioration.

Preservation:

• Avoid unnecessary refrigeration: While it can be stored in cold conditions for extended storage, in stores and supermarkets, it is preferable to keep it at room temperature in ventilated areas.
• Avoid direct exposure to light and heat: Poor placement in the point of sale can accelerate sprouting or affect its texture. It is recommended to keep them in a shaded, well-ventilated space.

• Import months: April, may and august.
• Months when is available: All year round.
• Harvest months in Spain: It is not harvested in Spain.

For bulk onions in sacks:

The minimum order will be one full pallet. Due to automatic palletizing, it is not possible to combine different sack references on the same pallet.

The only valid pallet will be the large pallet (100×120). Euro pallets (80×120) cannot be used as they are too unstable during transport.

For bulk onions in boxes, packed in nets and tubes:

The minimum order for boxes will be half a pallet. Two half pallets can be combined by stacking one on top of the other with an intermediate pallet, forming a single transport pallet.

We have two pallet sizes: the large pallet (100×120) and the euro size (80×120).
